Wash and Hygiene Awareness in 13 Schools in Akkar

Targeted Groups: 130 students and 39 teachers mobilized to promote hygiene practices in their schools.

Objectives:

As a component of the SDC school rehabilitation project, the project aims at increasing awareness about hygiene among students and school staff.

Role:

Mobilizing students and school staff to trigger changes in their communities and to be actively involved in hygiene promotion in the selected schools. Mada’s project team, together with a health and hygiene expert trainer, engage the children to promote better hygiene practices among other students, and train teachers to become hygiene focal points, who can organize awareness sessions for students and colleagues.
