Since year 2000, Mada association has been striving for the emergence of balanced communities, appreciative of diversity, open to the world, and respectful of human rights and social justice. It also encourages models that emphasize a harmonious relationship between human beings and their environment.
Over the years, Mada’s team has effectively managed to establish a solid foothold in the North of Lebanon and to trigger coordination among the primary local actors involved in development, both institutions and individuals.
In order to achieve its mission, Mada constantly adapts its strategy according to the territory’s actual needs and means. Currently the strategy is implemented through two of the three pillars of work: The Territorial Approach, and the Platform. (Mada Expertise is put on hold) Because of the instability and the complexity of Lebanon, Mada’s activity is often scaled up by emergency projects such the ones implemented recently as a response to the Beirut’s Blast on August 4 th 2020. Mada aspires to remain a space of freedom, commitment, creativity, expression, individual and collective realizations, while staying dedicated to carrying out a hopeful and ambitious vision for the regions of North Lebanon.
